Perhaps of greater relevance locally is the fact that by about a two to one margin, Canadians are more likely to agree that Prime Minister Harper has worked hard to improve Canada U.S. relations.”

According to Vice-President Susan Sanei-Stamp “Ensuring that strategies are in place to minimize, or ideally eliminate, potential bad experiences at a restaurant is key. But even more important is understanding what guests mean when they refer to an experience as having been bad.” Given the prevalence of word-of-mouth and the increased use of peer-reviewed channels, earning a trusted spot in the minds of guests becomes a prized goal.

Liberal Leadership Selection Has Potential to Redefine Voter Pools

Download Release

Our study tested ten potential candidates to see whether Canadians would be likely to vote Liberal in the event the candidate were leader. According to Senior Vice-President Doug Anderson, “At this early stage in the federal Liberal leadership race, without even a single official candidate, impressions of various potential candidates are undoubtedly soft. These results are a sort of starting grid in terms of public opinion. While these results are not strictly among those who will be selecting the next Liberal leader and therefore not a true measure of the race itself, they provide an indication of how the party’s pool of potential voters may be impacted.”

According to Senior Vice-President Doug Anderson, “With the House of Commons unanimously approving Bill C-311 – to remove the limitation on importing wine from other provinces – it seems clear that Canadians will welcome this change. Our survey shows that many Canadian wine consumers not only support this change, their sense is that the quality of Canadian wines has been improving and that their consumption of them has been increasing.”
